About Town: Leading the blind on a merry cycle

Amager Strand was the scene on May 21 for the world’s largest tandem bike ride for the blind and visually impaired. Among those taking part were (left-right above) Australian ambassador Damien Miller, Canadian ambassador André François Giroux, Irish ambassador Cliona Manahan and US ambassador Rufus Gifford. Organised by Siteimprove in collaboration with the Danish Association of the Blind, the event promoted Global Accessibility Awareness Day to inspire businesses to adopt a socially responsible culture. Each of the ambassadors was teamed up with one of the 100 members of the Danish Association for the Blind present, and off they went!
