Famous storyteller tells all to students at workshops

Cat is a colourful character

Cat Weatherill, one of Europe’s leading storytellers and a bestselling author of children’s literature, visited Copenhagen International School (CIS) last week.

She conducted some highly interactive workshops for pupils at the Hellerup campus.

Combining language, gestures, music, dance and games, she shared her tips on storytelling before performing in front of larger assemblies.

Lyrical Liverpudlian
Born in Liverpool, Weatherill is a globetrotting adventurer who travels all over the world, telling tales to children as well as adults.

She has performed at all the major UK storytelling and literature festivals, in many countries in Europe, and also in India, Kenya, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

In 2005 she published ‘Barkbelly’, her first magic fantasy novel, and this year she has released her latest children’s book, ‘The Hairy Marys’.
