The ultimate workout – have you got the fire?

The Burnout
April 12, first heat 09:00; Amager Motorcrossbane; Ved Slusen 2, Cph S; from 450kr; nordicrace.dk

You might remember seeing photos of friends on Facebook looking muddy and manly last year.

There’s a good chance they’d just competed in Nordic Race, which this year will beat its own record by including 80 obstacles in ‘The Burnout’, a 8 km race around a converted motorcross track.

Given that one of the obstacles is referred to as the mud hole, you know you’ll end up bathed in mud and your own sweat.

Bragging rights are included in the ticket along with drinks, fruit and a chip to track your time.

Vesterbro might be a hip part of town, but it still has a seedy underbelly. Follow former drug addict Martin on a tour of the places politicians don’t want you to know about.
