Copenhagen among the best airports in the world

Readers of a luxury travel magazine appreciate its many shops and easy connection to the Little Mermaid

Readers of the UK-based luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller have selected Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen as one of the best in the world.

The magazine's readers were particularly impressed by its wide selection of restaurants, bars and shopping outlets.

Great stopover
The airport scored additional points for being well-connected to the centre of Copenhagen by train and Metro.

The readers said the city is an ideal stopover for tourists who want to quickly visit the popular attractions in the centre before continuing to their next destination.

Singapore airport top
While Kastrup ended up eighth in the rankings,Changi Airport in Singapore was the most popular. 

Heathrow Terminal 5 in London landed second and Dubai International rounded up the top three.

Meanwhile, the city of Copenhagen finished 18th in the category of overseas destinations – readers' favourite cities outside the UK. 

New York ranked first followed by Paris and Venice.
