Got a complaint? Well get your wallet out

On March 1, the immigration services established new fees for the application of permanent residency permits and for family reunification cases.

From now on, there is a fee associated with applications for family reunification or applications for the extension of family reunification permits. The same goes for applications involving the residence permit and the extension of permits for family members of religious workers.

Permanent residence applications in the area of family reunification and asylum will also have a fee attached.

Furthermore, a fee will be payable for most case complaints or requests for a case to be resumed.

The fees (here in English) will be regulated as of January 1 every year.

In certain situations, the applicant can avoid paying the fee if Denmark’s international responsibilities or EU legislation regarding the specific case dictates as such.
