Cup glory for Laudrup and Swansea

With his greatest managerial triumph to date, Laudrup took less than one season in Wales to bring silverware to Swansea

Michael Laudrup led Swansea City to the club’s greatest ever accomplishment today as they triumphed 5-0 over surprise outfit Bradford City in the Capital One Cup final.

First half goals from Nathan Dyer and Michu had given the Swans a healthy lead going into halftime before another Dyer goal put the match beyond Bradford.

Bradford’s goalkeeper, Matt Duke, was then sent off for fouling Jonathan De Guzman in the box and Guzman put the match on ice from the resulting penalty. De Guzman got his brace and Swansea's fifth in stoppage time.

The Capital One Cup was the first trophy for Laudrup since the 2004/2005 season when he won the double with Brøndby IF in Denmark.
