If it ain’t baroque …

CPH Renaissance Music Festival
With a focus on early renaissance and baroque styles, curator Björn Ross has assembled a stunning line-up of international musicians for this unique 13-day classical music festival. Concert-goers have the uncommon chance to soak in both the festival’s distinct musical repertoire and the various historical venues throughout Copenhagen in which the performances take place. Masterclasses and workshops are also available to stimulate an interest in early classical music and provide participants with the chance to make meaningful connections with professionals.

Across Greater Cph, starts Fri, ends Nov 13; ticket prices vary, www.billetto.dkwww.renaissancemusik.dk/festival

Copenhagen Coin Fair
Over 400 coin collectors and other interested visitors will meet in honour of this historic pastime to exchange stories, tricks of the trade and, of course, coins. This annual event is open to seasoned connoisseurs and casual hobbyists alike and will feature dealers and clubs from five countries exhibiting their impressive stashes of rare coins, medals and banknotes.

J-dag
As if they needed another excuse, this Friday, Danes nationwide will be donning their ugly blue Santa hats to celebrate the launch of Tuborg’s Christmas brew. At exactly one minute before nine, horse-drawn carts will begin distributing Julebryg in an attempt to keep the merry folk of Denmark and their favourite watering holes stocked all the way up until Christmas.

Almost every pub across Cph; Fri 20:59; for more info ask a person in a blue hat or, alternatively, a horse
