The number of outdoor events in the Danish capital shot up by 26 percent in 2013, partly due to a spike in smaller events, according to new figures from the City Council.
On average, there were seven outdoor events – including street parties, concerts, dance performances and flea markets – every day last year.

Greve Council in the suburbs of Copenhagen has decided that unemployed people under the age of 30 should be put to work within 24 hours of signing on.
The Nyttejob initiative include jobs cleaning up the council storage room and collecting rubbish from the beaches and streets.
