There’s no better way of celebrating Christmas than catching the steam train from Hellerup to the Rosendal farm shop.

Dozens of families enjoyed the hour-long ride last weekend (see veterantoget.dk for details of this weekend’s trip) and were treated to an array of sights including old-fashioned coal stoking …

venison hanging up like in the old days …

ponies (guess who isn't getting one for Christmas) …

and ducklings – no ugly ones on this occasion –

and good old Father Christmas himself. Many went home with Christmas trees along with loads of goodies from the shop
