Five injured after explosion at shipyard in Skagen

One man transported to a hospital with severe burns

Five men got injured after an explosion at a shipyard in Skagen this morning.

Several ambulances were sent to Karstensens shipyard in Skagen, at the northern tip of Jutland, after welding on a ship caused an explosion.

One man was transported to the Rigshospital in Copenhagen by helicopter  with severe burns. He is in a serious condition.

Others are being examined for miner burns and possible asphyxiation.
