Child benefits delayed

SKAT says unknown error is delaying børnecheck for some

Some parents who checked their accounts today for their børnecheck family allowance came away disappointed. Due to technical errors, some payments have been delayed.

On SKAT’s Facebook page they have posted, “Due to a technical error, child and youth services pay has not gone out to everyone.”

SKAT promised that everyone would be paid by tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.

SKAT spokesperson Rikke Madsen said that she was not sure how many had been affected by the error or what caused the snafu.

“We are investigating,” Madsen told Jyllands-Posten.
