Dispute with Norway
On this day 90 years ago in 1925, a crisis between Denmark and Norway erupted after the Norwegians announced they did not recognise Denmark’s right to eastern Greenland. In April 1933, however, the International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled in favour of Denmark’s claim and Norway submitted to the decision.
