On this day 25 years ago, the DSB-owned ferry Margrethe II collided with a Finnish transport ship in Fehmarn Belt, killing one female crew member.
Despite almost sinking, the crew managed to ground it, and despite sustaining substantial damage, the ferry was repaired and recommissioned later in 1991.
