For an entertaining voyage that is jam-packed full of events, take a trip to this nautically-inspired occasion. Participants of this festival situated next to the harbour area by Islands Brygge can look forward to a wide range of cultural experiences incorporating dance, music, theatre and watersports.
The celebration, which takes place over three days, will give festival-goers the chance to enjoy the proceedings in one of Copenhagen’s unique and diverse settings.
There are projected to be multiple watersports activities at this year’s festival comprising competitions in diving and swimming, in addition to kayak and rowing races on the waterfront and many more.
The full program is not available until August. However, there are promised to be around 250 events and activities for attendees to get involved in.
The festival is a free event and the organisers have arranged festival shuttle boats and waterbuses that will provide free transport within the harbour area.
Many of the events are planned with children in mind, ensuring there will be fun activities for the whole family.
The event has a number of sponsors that enable the free festival to take place, and these associations are active in the planning and organisation of the mixture of events.
The festival’s objective is to bring people to the exciting harbour area and provide cultural experiences to participants, giving them a chance to explore the vibrant locations surrounding the water.
