The bronze winners from the Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF) on Wednesday secured a place in European football following a 2-1 victory in the final of the European playoffs in the Odense Boldklub.
This will be the first time in eight years AGF will get to participate in European football. The teams will enter Europa League’s first qualifying round on August 27, reports DR.
Commenting on the victory, AGF director Jacob Nielsen said that the team is taking baby steps and is now in the top six for the first time.
Also participating in European football this coming season will be FC Midtjylland (champions), FC Copenhagen (second) and SønderjyskE (cup winners.)
