As coronavirus cases begin to flare up again in parts of the world, Denmark has registered its biggest daily rise in coronavirus cases in three months.
The 112 new cases registered yesterday is the biggest 24-hour increase since 124 new cases were noted on May 7, according to the State Serum Institute.
Aarhus, which has developed into a bit of a hotspot in recent days, registered 42 (37.5 percent) of the new cases.
Ringsted, which has seen a spike in new cases due to a breakout at a slaughterhouse, accounted for 13 of the new cases.

20 percent tested
The day with the biggest number of new case registrations since the Coronavirus Crisis started was April 3, when 473 cases were recorded.
Overall, 616 people in Denmark have died as a result of the coronavirus so far and 23 are currently in hospital – two in intensive wards.
72 out of Denmark’s 98 municipalities recorded new cases over the past week.
Over 1.2 million people have been tested in Denmark – roughly 20 percent of the population.
