Tonight FC Copenhagen will play their first competitive game of 2025. FCK will face the German sensation team FC Heidenheim in the first knockout round of the European Conference League.
The side was promoted to the Bundesliga last year and managed to take the Germans by surprise by qualifying for European football in their first year in the Bundesliga.
The German side is of course not as familiar with European Football as the Copenhageners, but may have an advantage in both being used to a higher pace in the Bundesliga, and the fact the German competition started early January.
However, FC Heidenheim’s current form with four defeats in a row in the Bundesliga, may give confidence to the Danes that they can take the overall victory against a German side busy with avoiding relegation from the Bundesliga.
Tonight’s game is played at Parken, Copenhagen at 2100.
