Lead an alternative life for a week with Strøm Festival

Copenhagen will be lit up by the Strøm Festival for a week from Monday, which for the sixth year in a row is presenting some of electronic music’s biggest and boldest names. The two main stages will be in the lovely surroundings of Enghaveparken in Vesterbro, which will be transformed into a two-day hot spot of open-air concerts on Friday and Saturday (Aug 24-25, entry is just 20kr). 

 

A wide range of international acts are performing, including UK artists Emika, LV and Manchester-based Dub Phizix, who’ll perform with his long-time collaborator MC Strategy. And there will of course also be some local talent, such as up-and-comers Kenton Slash Demon and Rangleklods.

 

This year, Strøm will also host a series of workshops and master classes focusing on different aspects of electronic music production, including lectures about its history and evolution and shared artist experiences. Most of these will be held at Culture Box, in co-operation with Red Bull Music. 

 

The thrilling line-up proves how varied and inspiring electronic music can be, so make sure you attend one last festival that is guaranteed to fill you with vibrant electric impulses.
