Like Spinal Tap, but with talent

Steel Panther to rock Vega

Glam rock four-piece Steel Panther are returning to Copenhagen on their ’All You Can Eat’ tour. If you like fast cars, fast women and wearing a whole can of hairspray on your mullet, then Steel Panther may just be the band for you.

Since their inception in 2000, Steel Panther have tirelessly carved out their own niche in the rock market; however it wasn’t until 2009 that the band found commercial success with the hit single ‘Death To All But Metal’, as well as their breakthrough album, Feel The Steel.

Crude humour and dubious stage antics are very much the name of the game when Steel Panther take to the stage. Prepare to split your sides laughing as these grown men prance around in ’80s attire, poking fun at the sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll lifestyle made famous by the likes of Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses and KISS.

Steel Panther are more than just a comedy act though. Their music actually holds substance, drawing in fist-pumping choruses and strong lyrics … laced with filth, of course. Lurking in their back catalogue is even an attempt at an obligatory lighters in the air-style ballad: ‘Community Property’.

Even the Guardian is a fan. “Beneath the hair-metal parodists’ crass jokes and meathead riffs lies real craftsmanship," it notes.

So don your leopard-print spandex and tacky string vest and head down to Vega for a night of true rock ’n’ roll debauchery Steel Panther style.
