Copenhagen Airport voted best in Northern Europe

Passengers most impressed by security, baggage reclaim and restaurant selection

Copenhagen Airport has been named ‘Best Airport in Northern Europe’ at the 2015 Skytrax Airport Awards, which are voted for by millions of passengers worldwide.

While it finished 16th in the global rankings, one place higher than last year, it ranked second in the world for airport security.

Top-notch security
After two years as the world’s best, Copenhagen Airport has slipped behind Tokyo in the area of airport security.

"These awards are an excellent indicator of how we perform compared to other major airports in Europe and the rest of the world," commented Thomas Woldbye, the CEO of Copenhagen Airport.

"They provide us with the information we require to make our airport even better. We have proven ourselves as a world class airport, particularly in terms of airport security, after being named in the top two in the world for the past three years."

Airport all-rounder
Copenhagen also rated highly in a number of other categories, including baggage claim (Europe: 1st; globally: 7th), restaurant selection (1st, 6th), cleanliness (2nd, 9th) and immigration conditions (2nd, 8th).

Singapore’s Changi Airport, meanwhile, regained its title of 'World's Best Airport'.
