Anyone going to Nyhavn these days could be forgiven for thinking they've travelled back in time.

Old ships have been sailed into the canal, and modern signs and trash bins have been covered by old fishing nets, boxes and barrels in order to turn back the clock for Nyhavn. Even the radars on the old ships have been masked using old sails.

Starring another Oscar-winner, Eddie Redmayne, as well as Alicia Vikander, ‘The Danish Girl’ is the story about transgender artist Lili Elbe – one of the world’s first recipients of sexual reassignment surgery.
