Margrethe II to open an exhibition showcasing her dresses

The Queen Margrethe II is attending today's opening of a special exhibition that showcases the monarch's dresses worn over the course of her reign.

The 'HM the Queen 75 years – a costume cavalcade' exhibition marks the queen's 75th birthday and includes her wedding dress, New Year's speech dresses, as well as clothes the monarch wore while traveling or attending numerous gala events.

Insight into history of fashion and style
In addition to the costumes, the exhibition presents various photos, objects and film sequences retelling the queen's life and providing an insight into three-quarters of a century of style and fashion history.

The exhibition is displayed in the Great Hall at Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød and open to the public from March 26 to August 30.
