Food authority warns of glass in muesli

Product recalled because of foreign object

The food authority Fødevarestyrelsen is warning consumers to chew carefully in their muesli following a consumer finding a piece of glass in a packet of the ‘Struer vanilje crunch’ product, Jyllands-Posten reports.

The muesli-muncher came across the foreign object while tucking into a bowlful of the breakfast cereal dated 2 March 2015 with expiry date 2 March 2016.

Product recalled
The product is sold in the shops ABC lavpris, Liva Stormarked, Løvbjerg and Superbest Struer.

Because of the risk associated with ingesting glass, the producer Struer Brød A/S has decided to recall the product. Fødevarestyrelsen recommends consumers in possession of the offending product to either throw it out or return it to the shop where it was purchased.
