The New Pornographers

Sun May 31, 20:00; Lille Vega; 175 kr

Formed in 1999, indie-rock supergroup the New Pornographers can now look back at 15 years with pride during which they have released six successful albums.

Led by queen bee Neko Case, it would appear they have a thing for Bs, as the Beatles, Byrds and Beach Boys are among their biggest influences.

It’s quite likely you’ve heard their song ‘Moves’, a regular on advert soundtracks.
Blender magazine ranks their first album, Mass Romantic, as the 24th best indie album of all time. (JK)

This six-piece Copenhagen-based rock collective drew inspiration from eccentric Danish youth and the moody melodies of Joy Division to conquer Scandinavia’s thriving underground rock scene. (PM)
