Airfreight Operator – Global Aid & Relief Control Tower

Primary assignments for the candidate we are looking for:

  • Manage airfreight shipments (ad-hoc and key accounts) for long-term customers.
  • Price, procure, and negotiate with internal stakeholders, agents, and carriers.
  • Be the primary point of contact between customers, subcontractors, and DSV offices/agents.
  • Foster strong and professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and agents, ensuring proactive communication and seamless collaboration.
  • Evaluate and optimize service levels and routings based on customer and commodity requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators across multiple customers, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Leverage technology and data to streamline processes, manage EDI, track shipments, and address deviations.
  • Continuously seek improvements by challenging existing processes and identifying innovative solutions.

Your background

  • Trained freight forwarder within airfreight; experience in Aid & Relief and/or Pharma & Healthcare logistics is a plus but not required.
  • Technology-driven mindset, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and a strong ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Fluent in English at negotiation level and comfortable working across multiple countries.
  • Analytical and structured, with a keen eye for detail, planning, and cost management.
  • Service-oriented, ensuring the best possible experience for customers through a proactive and solution-driven approach.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills, securing the best solutions and rates for our customers.
  • A true team player, but also able to work independently when required.
  • Innovative thinker, eager to challenge existing ways of working and drive improvements through technology and smarter workflows.
  • Passionate about making a difference, both in your work and in contributing to a better world.
