Put out the flags Denmark, it’s Henriks birthday!

And the flags will also be out on this day when Prince Henrik, the prince consort, celebrates the completion of his 81st year.

Henrik married Queen Margrethe II in 1967 and fathered Crown Prince Frederik in 1968 and Prince Joachim in 1969.

He is the grandfather of five princes and three princesses.
