Texas shooting Mohammed drawings coming to Copenhagen

Exhibition to be held at the Black Diamond Library on August 15

The Danish anti-Islam organisation Stop Islamiseringen af Danmark (SIAD) has revealed it will show the same Mohammed drawings that were shown in an exhibition in Garland, Texas, where two Islamist gunmen were shot and killed last month while trying to attack it.

The exhibition will be held at the Black Diamond Library in Copenhagen on August 15, according to Anders Gravers, the head of SIAD.

“The program for the day with include presentations from various speakers regarding freedom of speech, democracy and the importance of both,” Gravers said.

“A known artist will present and speak about the drawings from an artist’s point of view. Meanwhile, artists will illustrate verses from the Koran, which are not included in the Islamic drawing ban.”

Gravers went on to reveal they would then discuss which groups of images were most offensive: the images from Texas, which are covered by the Islamic drawing ban, or the illustrated Koran verses.

The Black Diamond has yet to confirm the exhibition will take place on its premises.
