Goodbye yellow brick road, hello Tivoli!

Elton John will be guesting at the Copenhagen amusement park this summer

Though he may be nearing 70, Elton John is still standing better than ever. Today Tivoli delighted fans by announcing it's booked John for a concert on Monday 6 July at ‘Plænen’.

He visited Denmark as recently as last November where he entertained a crowd of 6,500 at Forum. And having recently wed his long-term partner David Furnish, the Rocket Man will no doubt be in a celebratory mood when he steps out onto the stage on a Danish summer’s eve.

With a career spanning six decades, hundreds of sold-out concerts and several multi-platinum albums, Elton is one of the undisputed kings of power ballads and an excellent entertainer.

Fans will be delighted to know tickets have been priced reasonably low at 480kr – a bargain really, considering the cheapest ticket cost 995 at his recent Forum concert.

This marks the second time John will have performed at Tivoli – check out the video (audio only) below of his first visit way back when in 1971 – so be sure to be quick when tickets go on sale on Monday 2 February at 10am.
