Police on Funen fear possible gang conflicts over the weekend

Two gangs and a biker group are all headed to the same party in Odense this weekend, and local cops fear a toxic brew of violence is brewing

The Black Army, Loyal to Familia and the Bandidos are all in Odense at the same time this weekend

The police chief in Odense will ‘suspend the usual procedures’ between Saturday at 12 noon and Sunday at 13:00 and allow officers to stop and search both pedestrians and vehicles for weapons, even though there may be no obvious grounds for suspicion.

What cops called both “internal tensions” and “tensions between rival gangs” and fears of violence has caused them to set up a search zone in an attempt to diffuse any possible confrontations between the groups.
