Ledreborg Lifestyle

If you’re not quite sure what to do with the abundance of free time that Denmark offers, then the 20th annual Lifestyle fair is the place to find inspiration for your house and garden, play a bit of golf, try some dirt-track mountain biking, do a bit of accessory shopping or stay forever young with health and beauty products.

Home to Holstein-Ledreborg family, the picturesque Ledreborg Castle dates all the way back to 1745 and is well worth a visit in its own right, with its impressive Rococo gardens and blend of culture and history.

Over the last 19 years, the mansion house has become synonymous with hosting the hugely popular Home and Lifestyle exhibition and the gates are once again open over the Whitsun weekend. Thousands of visitors come each year in search of ideas for perfecting their lifestyles and keeping up with the Jensens.

Plenty of other side activities, including music from the award-winning Holbækgarden marching band, a concert in the castle church by the castle organist Robert Hofsetter who will, true to tradition, be donning his powder and wig to regale guests with historical tales between the musical interludes.

There are also many fun things to do for the kids including pony-riding, a mini-circus and a model railway ride.

The adventurous and energetic can combine this with a trip to the agricultural show in Roskilde over the same weekend. There are 2 trains an hour from Copenhagen central station to Lejre station and Bus 233 to the castle from the station.
