Deer rescued from harbour baths in Islands Brygge

Emergency services from the Danish capital had to call divers to get it out of the water

The emergency services in Copenhagen have today rescued a deer that had fallen into the harbour baths in Islands Brygge, reports DR.

Witnesses saw the deer run across an intersection and fall into the water.

The emergency services had to call rescue divers, who first put the deer into a special lift before they could pull it ashore.

Just like humans, deers cannot stay in cold water for too long, so the emergency services quickly wrapped it in blankets and fed it.

They then released the deer back into the nearby Amager Fælled park.
