Østre Landsret sentenced Steen Gude, the former chief executive and owner of the holding company Stones Invest, to six years imprisonment for embezzlement and tax fraud on March 3.
Gude and his three co-defendants were accused of diverting money from the company to outside accounts prior to the company’s bankruptcy in 2008. They were also accused of and found guilty of embezzling funds from various clients, including the Icelandic bank Glitnir, according to Berlingske Business.
Sten Gude’s brother, Søren Gude, was sentenced to three years, and the former board chairman of Stones Invest, the lawyer Rolf Ussing, got four years.
