I Lie Down With A Crocodile – Songs from the reptile brain

Jump on board the rickety bus for a guided tour through the criminal mind via the real-life case of the infamous British serial-killing couple Fred and Rosemary West. If you look to the left, you’ll see lucid reality and on the right, the deep and dark fantasies, but as we steam ahead into unknown territory, the sides merge, morality goes out the window and animal instincts kick in. The production makes one almost empathise with the disturbed with its comical spin on the truly evil.

From the elegant traditional to the provocative modern, Dans2Go presents a trio of exquisite ballet performances to symphonies by the legendary Igor Stravinsky. The evening includes a classic performance choreographed by George Balanchine, dubbed the father of American ballet, the stunning duet Grand Pas Classique and is concluded with a contemporary finale of expressive movement with a touch of humour choreographed by Israel’s Ohad Naharin. For the ballet enthusiast this evening is not to be missed.

Loona Nights
Dansehallerne, Pasteursvej 20, Cph V; Fri 21:30; free adm; www.dansehallerne.dk; duration: 90 mins
Dansehallerne opens its stage for new and experimental dancers to earn their 15 minutes, well a maximum of 10 minutes, of fame. The informal series of short works as described by the organisers will encompass “raw ideas, inexperienced visions and playful experiments”. This rare event only occurs a few times per year and allows viewers to experience dance on a highly spontaneous and intimate level.
