Norwegian opens direct flights to NYC and LA

The budget airline will open up new long-distance routes to the US in 2014

Next year, travellers will be able to fly directly from Copenhagen to New York City and Los Angeles on a budget, the Norwegian airline announced at a press conference in Stockholm today.

The airline expects its new flights to be in service by spring 2014.

Earlier this year, Norwegian opened its first long-distance routes to both Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Bangkok from Oslo and Stockholm. The first flight from Copenhagen to Fort Lauderdale is scheduled for December 2013.
