Step into Tante T and you’ll feel like you’ve floated back to the 1930s: no detail has been spared in perfecting this shop’s vintage vibe. Choose from over 150 varieties of tea, many of which are Tante T’s own blends (try the mint chocolate rooibois if you’re feeling adventurous). All of the cafe’s snacks are baked onsite daily, made organically and include at least one gluten-free option. Tante T can get quite busy, so it’s recommended to book a day in advance.

Sing Tehus
Danish design meets Asian tradition at Sing Tehus, which specialises in high-quality green teas imported from Japan. However, there is also a wide variety of black and herbal teas, sandwiches and snacks on offer. Several times a year, Kyoto-based tea ceremony master Søren Bisgaard visits and performs a ceremony. Sing Tehus conducts free tea tastings on the first and third Thursday of each month from 18:00 to 19:00.

Chaplon Tea
This Danish tea producer delivers sustainable tea without pesticides or fertilisers from their plantation in the Sri Lankan highlands straight to their salon in Tivoli Gardens, allowing you to enjoy their products with a clear conscience. Chaplon’s location in the amusement park makes it a perfect place to take a time out from the rides and entertainment and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea underneath the trees. Try their spicy-sweet Indian chai or the refreshing Arabian peppermint.

AC Perch’s Tea Room
For those looking for a traditional English afternoon tea, Perch’s should be your pick. The shop boasts a Victorian flair with wicker chairs, crystal chandeliers, as well as cucumber sandwiches, scones and clotted cream to boot. Although Perch’s offers over 150 different types of tea, forget about coffee: you won’t find it anywhere on the menu. Reservations aren’t required, but booking a table is highly recommended – queues tend to stretch out the door on Saturday afternoons.
