International Authors’ Stage: Michael Palin
This Brit has done it all: comedy, acting, presenting and writing. Best known for being a member of the comedy troupe Monty Python, Palin (no relation to crazed Alaska politician Sarah) is here in Denmark to promote his latest novel ‘The Truth’, which has just been published in Danish. It marks a return to the home of Palin’s favourite artist, Vilhelm Hammershøi, whom Palin made a documentary about. Come and listen to him talk about the search for truth and his journeys around the world. The evening will be in English.

English Comedy Night
Loud laughs will echo from the basement of Kennedy’s on Thursday when Claus Reissm takes to the stage. Reissm has been combining his talents in bagpiping and joke-telling for a few years, performing at both Danish and international festivals. He will be followed by Steen ‘Nalle’ Nielsen, a sometimes disturbingly offensive joke teller who turns all taboos into joke material.

Syria’s Art of Resistance
The grand opening of the Round Tower’s newest exhibition will include panel debates focusing on the role of Syrian artists during the uprising and their artistic interventions. Featuring works from internationally renowned caricaturist Ali Ferzat and many others, the exhibition strives to capture the wealth of creative expressions that made the Syrian uprising unique.

Do the Jitterbug
If the long winter has you feeling restless, this Saturday is the chance to stretch your legs at the Museum of Copenhagen when they invite you to join them in a day full of jitterbugging. Get dolled up like it’s 1950 and enjoy some old-fashioned milkshakes and lemonade. Dance the day away or just enjoy the feeling of being transported to the past. You’ve been warned, however − the dance is contagious! Come early to make sure you have a spot, and, if you’re feeling competitive, talent judges will be scouting the dancefloor and announcing the winners at the end of the day.
