Partner Position in Maj Invest Financial Inclusion

As a Partner at MIFI, you will lead our financial inclusion investment funds. You will manage funds, drive fund investments and manage portfolios in India and other underserved markets. Your primary focus is to identify, evaluate and manage new investment opportunities in financial institutions advancing financial inclusion and in companies providing healthcare services for marginalized communities.

We are looking for a visionary leader eager to leverage private equity expertise to drive financial inclusion, deliver strong returns, and create lasting social impact. To succeed in this role, you must combine deep private equity expertise with a financial and commercial mindset and a commitment to social impact.

Key drivers for your success

  • Lead, develop and execute MIFI’s investment strategy in financial inclusion, fintech, MSME financing, and healthcare.
  • Lead investment processes: source and assess investment and exit opportunities. Structure and negotiate transactions aligned with financial and impact objectives.
  • Oversee portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance to enhance operations, scale, and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and social impact metrics for funds and portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with the objectives of each fund.
  • Drive active ownership, and serve as board member to portfolio companies, driving long-term value creation.
  • Ensure performance reporting, emphasizing financial returns and social impact.
  • Build relationships with institutional investors, family offices and impact investors to secure funding for future funds.
  • Lead and mentor department with approx. 10 investment professionals, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Your expertise & strengths

  • Experience within private equity, venture capital, or investment banking, preferably with a focus on financial services and healthcare. Impact investing experience is not a requirement.
  • Financial background with strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills.
  • Proven success in sourcing, executing, and managing investments.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-structuring abilities.
  • Good leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability in diverse global settings.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment characte- rized by frequent changes, high professionalism, and the strong regulatory framework.
