CIS students gain exercise and knowledge at tourney

Copenhagen International School (CIS) hosted a volleyball tournament on 3 December.

The event was jointly organised by Novo Nordisk and the Danish Volleyball Federation.

“The goal of the event was to promote healthy living through sport,” explained Thomas Nielsen, the director of communications and advancement at CIS.

“For one and a half hours, CIS grade 4 and 5 students participated in mini volleyball games and visited healthy living stations run by Novo Nordisk volunteers that offered students a variety of quizzes, activities and challenges designed to teach them what it is to be healthy.”

Overall, Nielsen said the event was both fun and educational.
