Danish actress seriously injured during filming

Legendary Danish actress Bodil Jørgensen is in a stable condition at Odense University Hospital in Funen after she was involved in an accident while filming the latest edition of the popular Danish film series ‘Far til fire’ (‘Father of Four’).

Jørgensen reportedly fell out of a moving tractor while filming scenes on the island of Mandø off the west coast of Jutland and was rushed to the a nearby hospital in Esbjerg before being moved to Odense later on.

“I can’t say much other than Bodil fell off the tractor during filming over there,” Henrik Møller-Sørensen, the head of Asa Film, the producers of the film, told DR Nyheder.

Kurt Ravn, the other actor sitting on the tractor at the time of the accident, was not injured.

Jørgensen, 53, is best known for her performances in a number of Danish films and series going back to the early 1990s – including ‘De grønne slagtere’ ('The Green Butchers'), Lars von Trier’s 'Idioterne’ (‘The Idiots’) and 'Hvidsten Gruppen’. The latter two earned her best actress awards in 1999 and 2011 respectively.
