The perfect office outing, surely

The laughs continue into October as some of the best stand-up comedians in the English-speaking world head to Copenhagen for a series of solo gigs.

The month kicks off with Jack Dee, a well-known and much loved performer in Britain despite his miserable ‘world against me’ persona. He is known for his deadpan sarcasm, and while he never smiles, the audience certainly does.

US-born Reginald D Hunter actually began his comedic career in the UK, where he has become well known as a regular on shows like Have I got news for you and IQ. His direct, unpredictable and often controversial style make him an in-demand act.

LA-based comedian Whitney Cummings is the co-creator of US comedy 2 broke girls. Her routines are fast-paced, raunchy and edgy with no subjects off limits.

The eccentric Jim Breuer made his breakthrough on Saturday Night Live in the ‘90s with his off-the-wall observational humour, often revolving around everyday family life.

The career of Stephen Merchant is on the up and up. The gangly comic is best known for his work with Ricky Gervais. And although his own stand-up is gentler and more self-deprecating, it involves the trademark cringeworthy and embarrassing situations that have played such a big part in the success of his creations 'The Office', 'Extras' and solo project 'Hello Ladies'.
